My Friends! Today I bring a very interesting study about an event I guess we will have spent a lot occasionally. Falling asleep watching TV.
Keep Reading and find out!
Sleeping with the light or television on increased risk of depression, according to a study the Ohio State University (USA) presented at the recent annual meeting American Society of of Neuroscience in San Diego.
In their experiments, Nelson Rand researcher and his colleagues worked with 16 hamsters, of which half went to sleep in complete darkness while others were exposed each night to a light level equivalent to that produced by the glow of a TV on in a dark room. Eight weeks later, animals slept in the dark who never had been altered mood, depression developing . When researchers examined their brains found that in the area of \u200b\u200bthe hippocampus observed that had a less villus density (dendritic spines) in neurons that those who sleep without light, implying that communication between nerve cells have been reduced. According to Nelson, the results suggest that optimal light level needed by the brain of mammals to rest is ; surprisingly low .
Researchers associated the effects of light exposure to a hormone called melatonin , that occurs when the body senses the dark. Among other things, melatonin regulates the r itmo heart, helps us sleep and acts as an antioxidant. Too much ambient light, the body could produce amounts of melatonin inadequate.
For my part I think that these studies always bring a very hasty conclusions, but worth the research and probably some relationship have with humans. Touch wait to be checked with us. I think more than one will be worried!
must be given the benefit of the doubt to our scientists and turn off the TV before bedtime or else put the sleep! : D
... well what do you think?
ever happened to you?
