Without Fear Nothing!

My friends Merry Christmas!
After a slight break in the literature for various reasons (including change city)
Today I bring a very interesting story about a woman who is not afraid of anything!
Keep reading and should know them!

SM, a woman aged 44 years or could be called the Bold.
fears not handle snakes. Not afraid of the scariest horror movie. When visiting a haunted house, was a monster who was scared of it.
SM is not a psychopath or heroine capable of controlling his emotions. Is an ordinary woman, a mother of three children who have a particular psychological disability resulting from an unusual genetic disease that damaged an organ of the brain called amygdala.
His case shows that the amygdala plays a key role in terrorizing people in threatening situations, say the researchers.

But the story of his life also shows that to live without fear can be dangerous, they said.
A study published online Thursday by the journal Current Biology by researcher Justin Feinstein and colleagues at the University of Iowa, detailing the case. As usual, the report only identified as "SM". Feinstein did not accept an interview with the Associated Press citing the lab's policy on confidentiality.

An expert not connected with the study cautioned against hasty conclusions drawn on the amygdala because in his own studio with a similar brain-damaged woman found no such condition. But another expert said the new findings are consistent.
SM has been studied for over twenty years and have published many reports on its abnormalities. These include the difficulty in recognizing fear in facial expressions, for example.

In another experiment, published in 1995, made him sound a loud horn every time it appeared a blue box in a screen. Despite the reiteration of the fact, never developed the fear associated with a subject feels when you are the color square connected to the horn.

She remembers feeling scared as a child, as once he was cornered by a dog. But perhaps it was before her illness stripped of the amygdala on both sides of the brain, say researchers.

apparently felt no fear of adults, even fifteen years ago in an incident described by the researchers. A man rose from a park bench, put a knife to her throat and threatened "I will cut you." SM, who heard the song of a choir practicing in the distance, looked at him coolly and replied: "If you're going to kill me, you must first pass through my God's angels." The man let her go, and she came running but walking.
"His lack of fear may have frightened the individual," said Feinstein.
But placed in that situation, he said. SM had approached the man when he asked him, though it was late at night and she was alone, and even thought the man was doped.

... well what do you think?

ever had that feeling courage you believe in anything you afraid?

and if you had this disorder, how would you feel?
